The mission of social services is to provide unconditional support to people who need assistance with their integration process, and to provide guidance and comprehensive follow-up in order to secure their basic needs, while working towards social emancipation in the host society.
Administrative procedures, socio-professional integration, social assistance, budgeting, etc.
This low-threshold service works in conjunction with the other services and activities offered by Le Monde des Possibles: the socio-legal service benefits from the services of Univerbal interpreters, sponsorship from the Un Deux Nous project, and the range of training courses, activities, and services offered by Le Monde des Possibles and its partners.
To address the digitization of administrative procedures, Le Monde des Possibles has a Digital Public Space that is accessible without an appointment, and a series of introductory and advanced modules on new technologies.

Individual social services mainly cover the following topics, using a multilingual approach:
- Budget guidance: managing bills, banking procedures, unemployment benefits, social welfare procedures, taxation, etc.
- Explanations of procedures and social documents.
- Training and education: scholarship applications, degree equivalencies and skills validation, returning to education and searching for training opportunities, etc.
- Combating digital illiteracy: support with digital social procedures.
- Social and professional integration: CV writing, job search support, application preparation, Forem and ONEM procedures, etc.
- Housing: finding housing and procedures related to accessing and maintaining sustainable and decent housing.
- Health: procedures relating to mutual insurance, emergency medical assistance, access to healthcare, and prevention.
These individual consultations are supplemented by group sessions providing social information, particularly on the following topics:
- Equivalence of diplomas and validation of skills.
- The Belgian job market and job search procedures (registering with Forem, etc.)
- How the CPAS works and the rights and responsibilities of social assistance recipients.
- Access to housing, tenants’ rights and responsibilities, water and energy consumption, waste management.
- Budget guidance.
Le Monde des Possible offers legal services, social services, and housing services. This multidisciplinary approach is made possible through networking and partnerships. The socio-legal service is coordinated by Pauline Mallet.
The social services offered to interns are divided into three areas:
- individual interviews and follow-ups
- peer reviews (working groups) between professionals when working on cases shared with partners and/or sharing experiences
- group workshops on social issues: access to housing, employment, healthcare, family life, etc.
Individual interviews at Potiérue are conducted in a room dedicated to social and legal services, at fixed times. Wednesday interviews are open to the public. Monday and Thursday interviews are by appointment (made at the ASBL reception desk, in person, by phone/WhatsApp, or by email). Individual interviews at the Rue des Champs premises take place on Tuesdays, by appointment.
To overcome the mobility issues faced by some trainees, some of the office hours are also available by phone, email, and WhatsApp.
