In concrete terms, we work on français langue étrangère (FLE), citizenship training through specific modules such as Formation à l’Intégration Citoyenne (FIC) and l’Atelier d’Orientation Citoyenne (AOC), as well as offering un service juridique spécialisé to support participants in defending their rights.
This accreditation is part of our diverse range of activities, enabling participants to learn French before getting involved in the wide variety of projects run by the association and its partners in Liège. Nationalities of MDP trainees across all training courses.

Mission and Objectives
Supporting the inclusion of people of foreign origin.
We adopt active teaching methods focused on self-socioconstruction of knowledge, enabling everyone to communicate effectively in French, whether in everyday life, at work, or in any other social interaction.
Our French as a Foreign Language courses aim to help participants develop communication skills, both oral and written. At the same time, we offer citizenship training courses that enable participants to understand the economic, social, political, and cultural contexts of Wallonie and Belgium. These courses are divided into two modules: the Formation à l’Intégration Citoyenne (FIC) and l’Atelier d’Orientation Citoyenne (AOC) – are adapted to the learners’ level of proficiency in French.
Some FLE courses are enriched with workshops d’éducation permanente that identify situations of dissatisfaction that participants may experience on a daily basis and how to respond to them collectively.
Participants
Courses for all adults.
Le Monde des Possibles mainly caters to people of foreign origin with different educational backgrounds (from those with no schooling to university graduates). FLE courses are primarily aimed at new arrivals, but we also offer courses for anyone who wishes to learn French. Registration is based on a waiting list by level, determined by an initial placement test.
Activities and Programs Offered
Modular training courses.
The association offers courses in two annual periods: from September to December and from January to July. Our French as a Foreign Language (FLE) and literacy courses are accessible after a placement test, which assesses each participant’s skills in the four areas of language: oral comprehension and production, written comprehension and production. This test allows them to be placed in one of the four levels offered, ranging from A1.1 to A2.2, in accordance with the Cadre européen commun de référence pour les langues (CECRL).
Les cours de FLE are held three times a week, with sessions lasting 3.5 hours, totaling 10.5 hours per week. At the same time, a literacy group is available for non-French speakers, following the same schedule. Here is a video of the Alpha Culture – Mosaïque des cultures project, based on a collaboration between a visual artist and the trainer.
For learners who have reached level A2, conversation tables are also offered, with two weekly sessions of 3 hours each.
We also offer specific citizenship training modules. La Formation à l’Intégration Citoyenne (FIC), intended for people with an A2 level of French, and l’Atelier d’Orientation Citoyenne (AOC), For beginners, courses are organized throughout the school year, with 35-hour cycles spread over two to three sessions per week.

Impact
New prospects for the inclusion of people of foreign origin.
Le Monde des Possibles has a significant impact on participants’ lives through its integration initiatives. Every week, around 200 people of 54 different nationalities place their trust in us.
“The training courses provide learners with the tools they need to navigate Belgian society, understand their rights and obligations, and actively participate in social and cultural life.”
Our teaching methods, based on communication, action, and participation inspired by lifelong learning, place learners at the center of their own journey with a better understanding of local social and economic dynamics. They can thus prepare to take other courses at the Le Monde des Possibles (MDP) or with our partners in Liège, or immediately join socio-professional inclusion projects in companies.
Partners

We also work closely with other Local Integration Initiatives (LIIs) such as ITP Liège, SOFFT, PhiloCité, et Aide aux Personnes Déplacées (APD).
