Les Fils d’Ariane is a project designed to inform and support migrant women, with or without residence permits, who are victims of violence. Faced with linguistic and cultural challenges, this project offers accessible multilingual resources, including podcasts, to raise awareness of rights, procedures, and available support. This content is produced by social interpreters who are trained in specific topics and who themselves come from diasporas.
The training of interpreters, which is at the heart of the project, covers a variety of topics such as domestic violence, forced marriage, female genital mutilation, and human trafficking. Through workshops and courses led by experts, interpreters acquire the skills to convey this information in a clear and accessible way to their communities. Multilingual podcasts, translated into six languages, are thus becoming key tools for reaching women in precarious situations and for equipping professionals working with these populations.
Les Fils d’Ariane is not limited to providing information: it also undertakes awareness-raising activities, such as traveling symposiums, to open dialogue and mobilize communities around the fight against violence against women.
The project Les Fils d’Ariane is structured around several concrete activities and objectives:
- Training specialized interpreters: Organizing sessions on violence against women, its impacts, and available support services to strengthen the skills of interpreters working in social settings.
- Create multilingual tools: Produce five themed podcasts translated into six languages, distributed via social media and digital platforms.
- Raise awareness in communities: Promote a better understanding of the rights and resources available to migrant women and their families.
- Equipping professionals: Providing appropriate support to effectively assist women who are victims of violence throughout their journey.
- Organize public events: Conclude the project with dissemination activities, such as a traveling symposium, to engage in inclusive dialogue on these topics.
Les Fils d’Ariane is a project that combines information, awareness-raising, and community engagement, offering concrete solutions to combat violence against migrant women.
