Care

The CARE project is committed to combating cyber hate in all its forms: racism, ageism, homophobia, xenophobia, harassment, or any other form of online discrimination. Designed as a response to the challenges posed by digital hate, it aims to raise public awareness of the dangers of such behavior and promote respectful and inclusive online practices.

Through interactive workshops and practical discussions, participants are trained to recognize different types of cyber hate, understand its psychological and social impacts, and develop skills to deal with it. These activities, which focus on nonviolent communication and good digital practices, also explore current legislation and effective ways to report abuse.

By addressing topics such as misinformation, phishing, and online ethics, CARE provides a space for learning and reflection where each participant can equip themselves to become an agent of change, promoting a safer and more respectful Internet.

The CARE project aims to provide participants with practical tools and essential knowledge to identify, understand, and combat cyber hate. The main objectives include:

  • Identifying and understanding cyber hate: Learning to recognize different types of online stigma and their impact on individuals and society.
  • Strengthening nonviolent communication: Learn the DESC method for managing conflicts in a constructive and respectful manner.
  • Explore current legislation: Understand laws against cyberbullying and learn how to effectively report abuse using interactive tools such as the “CyberHarcelStop” game.
  • Raise awareness of digital ethics: Encourage responsible and respectful online practices by incorporating NETiquette into exchanges.
  • Develop empathy and resilience: Work on emotions and personal needs to better understand and respond to online behavior.
  • Combating misinformation: Equipping participants with the tools to identify fake news, scams, and other digital dangers.

With CARE, Le Monde des Possibles is building a more inclusive Internet by raising awareness among citizens about the importance of respect and tolerance in the digital world.
